The Athlete Lab
Comprehensive testing combined with training built around what your athlete can actually do — and where they're trying to get to next.

WHAT WE MEASURE
Four dimensions of performance.
Each dimension tells part of the story. Together, they tell all of it.
01
Physical
How the body moves. GPS movement tracking, force plate testing, isometric strength assessment — continuous across the season, not just on testing days. The same equipment categories used by Premier League clubs, U.S. Soccer national teams, and NCAA D1 programs.
02
Technical
How the skill executes. Position-specific assessment and game video analysis — mapping strengths against the actual demands of the position, and finding where execution breaks down: under fatigue, under pressure, in transition.
03
Cognitive
How the mind decides. Decision-making is where most performance gaps actually live — what you saw, what you could do, what you let yourself do. Three gaps, three approaches.
04
Meaning
What the work is for. Coherence (it makes sense), purpose (it is going somewhere), significance (it matters) — built the same way the physical work is built: measured, discussed, tracked over time.
THE INTERPRETIVE GAP, AT ATHLETE SCALE
What you saw. What you could do. What you let yourself do.
"I didn't see it."
PERCEPTION
The opportunity was there, but the athlete didn't process it in time. Perception lagged behind the play.
"I couldn't do it."
EXECUTION
They saw it, knew what to do, but couldn't deliver under pressure. The skill broke down when it mattered.
"I hesitated."
CONFIDENCE
They saw it, could do it — but something made them pause. Doubt crept in. The moment passed.

01 · MATCH REFLECTION × GPS
REFLECTION · JUN 08 · SAMPLE GAP: PERCEPTION
“They pressed higher than we prepped for. I kept receiving on my back foot — I didn’t see the switch coming early enough.”
REFLECTION · JUN 20 · SAMPLE GAP: EXECUTION
“I saw the runs all game. Twice the final pass came off my weak side late — the legs were there, the touch wasn’t.”
REFLECTION · JUN 23 · SAMPLE GAP: CONFIDENCE
“Third game in five days. After the first tackle I stopped taking players on — I chose safe every time.”

REFLECTION · JUN 23 · SAMPLE
“Right leg is still guarding on landings. I can do it, but I don’t trust it yet.”
REFLECTION · JUL 11 · SAMPLE
“First week the knee felt like mine again. Still thinking about it on the first step.”
REFLECTION · AUG 10 · SAMPLE
“I stopped counting reps and started playing. The hesitation is gone before the pass, not after.”
